Hi, Lee. We recommend soaking the skewers beforehand to avoid splinters, but this is not a necessary step.

Just wondering, why do you suggest soaking the bamboo or wood skewers if the ingredients aren’t cooked?

Hi, Sally! We have lots of other cold appetizers on the site that are make ahead friendly. Other great options are our Quick Mediterranean Feta Dip, eggplant caponata, and muhammara. You could even go the party platter route with an awesome cheese board, mezze platter or crudités platter.
